Hi.
We are migrating to a new web-based billing/management platform for our small website hosting business. The platform we are going to us is WHMCS: http://www.whmcs.com.
WHMCS does not currently
support our credit card payment gateway. Our credit card processor (Elavon (formerly Nova)) offers 2 proprietary gateways: ViaKLIX and Virtual Merchant. We need a custom WHMCS gateway module to integrate with either of these gateways. We've been using ViaKlix for a couple of years and our preference is to continue to use either of Elavon's gateways rather than getting a different gateway such as Authorize.net (which is
supported by WHMCS).
WHMCS has provided this information about making custom gateway modules:
http://wiki.whmcs.com/Creating_Modules
Elavon/Nova has provided these developer guides for their gateway APIs:
Virtual Merchant: https://www.myvirtualmerchant.com/VirtualMerchant/supportlandingvisitor.do
ViaKlix:
https://www2.viaklix.com/admin/
support/default.asp
We don't have a strong preference which gateway we use. We're using ViaKlix now but Elavon has been pushing us to use Virtual Merchant (it's their main gateway) so we should probably use that if the development is not overly complicated.
And, we don't have a set budget for this... honestly, I have no idea how much it should cost... we can either pay a developer to build a custom module, or we can pay for a new gateway (new gateway would cost us an additional $ 250 for the first year)... either option is do-able, but my preference is to stay with our current gateway provider. I've listed this as a small project ($ 250 - $ 750) and presume that it will be the lower end of this range.
Many thanks!
Daniel.
